I'm going to skip March and April except to say that we were able to go to Florida and be with my family right before my grandfather passed away. It was pretty sudden and we all miss him very much. His memorial service was in June so you'll see more of that then.
MAY
Lots of programs at Diana's school which meant we were all exhausted. Jordan was still working overnights at channel 9 but the end of May marked the end of his time at KUSA and the beginning of a new job as a financial planner with Thrivent. Jordan said goodbye to the station and I said goodbye to my school in Littleton. Seth discovered that he was able to empty the pantry for us. Big stuff!! : )
JUNE
Stuff you can't see pictures of is all of the studying that we did. Jordan was studying his buns off for his different tests to become a registered financial representative. I was studying my buns off and taking my last class to finish my masters. I finished at the end of June and Jordan passed his last test at the beginning of August. PHEW! Studying with a baby is MUCH harder than on your own!
Chicago
Erin is one of my old friends from high school and she's been bugging me for a long time to come out and visit her. We left for this trip the day after my last day of school and Jordan's last day of work. We ate some great food, went to the Museum of Sciene and Industry and the Shedd Aquarium, spent an afternoon hanging out on the grass of Northwest's campus and really had fun reconnecting.

Grandpa Garley's Memorial Service- Stillwater, MN
One of the happiest ironies of a memorial service is that it is often one of the few times of when an entire family gets together. These are some family pictures although I wish I had gotten more. I must say that as crazy as my family is I am honored to be a part of them.

Ollie and Stephen came to visit for a weekend from Scotland. We had a fantastic couple of days together. These pictures are from our drive to the top of Mount Evans, a Colorado 14-er (over 14,000 ft tall). We were able to drive up to the parking lot and then hike the last quarter mile or so through the snow. Carrying a squirmy baby up a slick, steep, snow-covered path was a challenge but it sure was great at the top! On this day we were chilly with our coats but it was shorts weather down in Denver-- only 45 minutes away.

JULY

A Visit to North Carolina
My friend Kayla from high school has a baby only 2 weeks older than Seth. We hadn't seen each other's kids yet and by a strange twist of circumstances I decided to take a trip out to visit. I'd watch the kids while Kayla was at work and we'd share the evenings and the weekend together. It was only 5 days but it was a lot of fun!
Paige comes to visit
My cousin Paige drove out from Minnesota to visit. These were from a quick hike on the Flatirons in Boulder.
MaryLou Clauss comes to visit
Just after Paige left, MaryLou came. When we lived in Washington I used to sing different gigs with MaryLou's husband Dennis. He couldn't make the trip which was a bummer but MaryLou and I sure had a lot of fun in the day and a half that she was with us.
THE MOVE!!!
Oh yeah... and we moved! We now live in Mead, CO which is just a little ways north of Longmont. Our new place is bigger but with a smaller yard. We were SO thankful for everyone who helped us pack up, load up, and get ourselves out of the old place and into the new. We are renting out our old house so that was a huge addition to our "to-do" list in the middle of everything else.
My mom kept track of Seth while we loaded the truck... but it was hard to find a spot to take a nap!

Hey... did anyone get any other pictures of Seth's birthday?? I hardly have any at all! We did get a great video of him devouring this oh-so-messy cake! Mmmmmmmm.
New Deck and New Back Yard
Our new house was all a patch of weeds in the back and the porch barely fit our table and chairs. SO... in case we weren't busy enough with starting our two new businesses and getting moved in, we decided to enlarge the deck and get grass. The deck we did with the help of our friends Matt and Amy... or maybe we should say that Matt did it with the help of Jordan and I. The yard we hired because we were too exhausted from the deck!
And, here's just a few cute pic's. Seth has been exhausted from all the changes but has wanted to get in on the action as much as possible.
Jordan was getting something down from the eaves of the house and all of a sudden realized that Seth was following him up the ladder! Believe it or not, he made it all the way to the top! Jordan said "If you ever in doubt that you would give birth to a rock climber, here's your answer"!
